Roy and Phyllis Bardole traveled to Pella Wednesday, Nov. 19, to attend a play at Central College.  Their grandson Gabe Bardole was performing in the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama “Rabbit Hole.” Thursday morning, Roy spoke to Schyler Bardole’s senior seminar: Food Justice. Roy talked about his family’s farming operation since 1901. It included many changes from horses to large tractors with GPS, no till, etc. He also told about his experiences traveling worldwide selling soybeans and retail sales in all those countries. After class Roy and Phyllis were able to eat out with Schyler and Gabe before returning home.

Bill Blanshan was in the area for a few days visiting relatives and friends. He took some time to visit with Jean Borgeson, which triggered a lot of good memories of Bill working and hanging out on the farm with the Borgeson boys during their younger days. It’s always special when your kids’ friends take the time to visit and to share what’s happening in their lives. It certainly brightened Jean’s day
